Free Concert at the Bayonne Free Public Library

The Eddie Hazell Trio will offer a concert on Sunday, October 10, at 2:30 p.m., in the O'Connor Gallery, on the second floor of the Bayonne Public Library. The library is located at 31st Street and Avenue C. The concert is free. Handicapped access is available via the ground-level entrance on 31st Street.

Jazz guitarist and singer Eddie Hazell has made numerous recordings and has appeared in various jazz rooms throughout the United States. His jazz trio (comprised of Vincent LaBue on drums and Rick Crane on bass) provides soft, listenable, danceable jazz, both instrumental and vocal. They specialize in twentieth-century American composers such as Richard Rodgers, Irving Berlin, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Johnny Mercer, and Cole Porter.

On television, Eddie Hazell has appeared on The Kraft Music Hall, The Merv Griffin Show, A.M. New York, and the CBS Variety show: On Broadway. With a repertoire that runs from Mozart to Miles Davis, Eddie has produced eight albums and three singles for Columbia, Monmouth-Evergreen and Audiophile labels, winning the coveted Jazz Disc Award in Japan. Concert appearances have included New York University, the Overseas Press (Jazz) Club, The Watchung Arts Center, and many others.
